It's likely not a java issue. I'd try renaming your .minecraft folder to something else, and relaunching the .exe again, and allow it to download all the files again.- Blayde

We're playing with the idea of enabling a block-break limit. Don't worry, this limit will be unreachable by normal players, but will prevent players using a Nodus-style block nuking system(breaking 9+ blocks at a time)- Blayde

What is happening? Griefed or what?
it could be several different things. possibly rolled back through hawkeye(grief protection), or server corruption, or something similar. please ask an admin/mod in-game to have a look at it for you- Blayde

What Cubi said. before loading any server/map, change all your display settings to the lowest possible. then load up the server, and slowly increase the settings until you find a tolerable setting.- Blayde
