New protection system

Hey guys.
This will be mostly a Question then an actual post.

So we are currently using Residence to protect user's houses and such from grief and all that jazz.
But i think that Precious stones does a BETTER and EASIER job.

Differences:

Residence:
Using a wooden pickaxe to set 2 areas, just to find out its too big and have to redo it.​

long command list to enable certain flags (which enable things like burning, redstone, etc.) for a flexible option system.​

Sub-Zones
Disable movement in an area. (personally i dont like how its made)​

Precious Stones:
Place a certain block (which can be changed by us at anytime) and have a certain area automatically protected. This is shown momentarily by a giant glass wall around the area.
Able to set mini-areas to give/sell to other users.
Use commands to enable your friends in that area.

Special block abilities, including anti-spawn blocks, shocker blocks, explosive blocks, etc.
The block abilities repalce most commands, making you ned to remember less things.
Easy toggle for placing precious stoens or not with /ps off and /ps on
Disable entry in an area, and will be tped out if enters

Well i don't like the blocks we need for protection in precious blocks like if we need a big protection and we are poor we can't do anything :/

i said that i can change the blocks needed
i can configure it to bedrock, and give all users who join the server 1 bedrock when they join

that is already fixed by joel, and is active right now.
all ips' are limited to 2 or 3 accounts (if i rememebr that correctly...) and even so, admins can see all protections, and can destroy them by simply breaking the block.

Personally,I have no experience with precious stones,but i have had a descent experience with Residence.
Residence is full of commands and is kinda hard to teach new comers and newbies all about it!Precious stones might be easier and more practical to use,but still,i have no clue what so ever how it would be like using PS.However,there is one thing that i know,which is:The easier it is for newbies to use it,the better it is! After all,It's all about pleasing the community

Let see res for sure, you can sell res too if you enable it, you have even more control in res than with psston, you can control them remotely and you have about ss many flag as you have with ps , there a comman dcall area to fix and add area to res if you want to add more are so i say res is just ssgood if you know how to use it

Both will make it super hard to main tain, you res might get overide by other people ps and noone can do anyhitng about it as you can remove em and cuase tons of trouble

honestly, i really like ps. its very simple ot use, and even for those people who are used to residence, well ps is as easy as 1 2 3. all you have to do is place a block and BOOM, protected. if you want to add specific people, then you have a small command list to remember. if u wanna do other shiz, theres other blocks for it.

Well i am concern anout some stuff like the protection block are quite expensive, aslo people can like go wpam it if it is too cheap so you gotta have some manage ment system to sell the p block . Also you dont have quite as fine control as res, you can set sperate flag for areas

ug, i said this before x.x
i can easily change the block to something everyone can get. I was planning on using command blocks, and everyone gets one as soon as they join the server.

And you can buy more? But still i like the small area management res subzone allow you to do but i might be biased as i kove res so much, some ps stone look quite fun to use but it mostly to easy to be abuse if not control correctly

I support killa!Varee,I strongly suggest you try out precious stones! Anyways,if you dont like it,it would be no problem to get res back.Just give it a try,there is nothing to lose

I know how ps work , i understand that it simpler but it like the feeling of contorl i got form res, also i dont really feel like changing

We will keep both i think is the way to go. Seems like everyone has mixed feelings and unless KillaTrix has a very clear reason why they wouldn't work together i think both will make everyone happy!

well if both are used, it can have some conflicts... but i dont see any so why not o3o

i got one prob, if someone decide to use ps stone then someone else come and res it, it willl become a dead lockdown so people have to use em both or someone else might cuase problem by being a jerk andoverlap the feild creating a no man zone that both party cant touch, res will have a upper hand as the ps stone guy cant remove his feild if the block is protected
