Gambling

It has been brought to my attention that with the addition of the new casino there has been certain problems that have arisen.

Namely I'm talking about addiction.

Gambling can be fun but it can also lead to financial, emotional, and social ruin.

This has been evidenced with the current closure of the casino for some major repairs. After closing the casino i've seen mass suicides, as well as people not knowing what to do with their lives.

These are obvious signs of addiction. I must warn everyone that if you can't enjoy gambling responsibly then you may need to stay away from our casino.

.....Just kidding!

There was a major problem found in the casino that staff is currently working on fixing. That problem is that the casino was losing money and basically printing money for players. We are rectifying this problem by changing the config files so that the odds are more real life casino based. Which means overall, while the players can still win, the casino will win more.

Within a short period of times players have made up to 3million dollars in in game money.

Unfortunately I cannot allow that as this would ruin the economy and so I have rebalanced players money.

I'm aware that this must be very frustrating, especially in conjunction with last nights server closure and modification of the spawn area, but these things are hard to anticipate.

I once again apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to having you play at our casino again real soon.

In the mean time...get a real job!
Head out and start mining, start a farm, and sell your goods at spawn.

 

Oh and one further note.

If anybody notices something on the server that doesn't seem quite right please let a staff member know so we can look into it. The sooner we fix problems the better.

People should not have been able to build right at spawn. There was a problem with our protection. By the time we noticed it people had already built quite a bit. Had we noticed this earlier we could have fixed it before massive structures were built.

Same with the casino. If something is too good to be true please don't try to take advantage. Let us know. We want a fair, fun server for all.
