Anvil problem

S i have been trying to use anvil to combine a pick with a book and the anvil keep taking my level but but spit out the pick and the book, i tried so many time but i cant still combine it so pls look into it

Also I placed an anvil in my own protected area but I can't destroy it

I just tested this.....its not just in protected areas....seems to be anywhere.....we'll see if we can get this fixed.....for now, just be VERY SURE where you want to put your anvil

i can destroy anvils and always have been able to

That bug applies to me too! I tried 5 times and it swallowed 50 levels I had and it finally worked

I found a way to get your xp back if they've swallowed it and spit out ur stuffs.... store ur xp in ender pearl... then get ur xp back... bam!
