1.5 update

When I was reading the upcoming features list on the minecraft wiki 9yay it is online again!). I read about the 1.5 update. This adds a lot of new features that are just crafting recipies (THEY ARE REALLY AWESOME), but also a few that are added to the world (like the quartz ore).

What will happen to the server? will it reset again? Or will you only reset the nether (that will mean no chest minecarts in mineshafts and no spawner mincarts, but it will add quartz ore to the nether)?

It depend on amount of world gen needed, if something major in the main world change we might need a reset or else we can just reset nether

fromk what ive seen, the overworld wont be touched at all. the nether however, WILL be re-generated, so dont get too cozy of your base in the nether
