Hello Everyone!

So probably as a few of you may have already noticed. There is some news in the world of Minecraft!
Mojang released Minecraft 1.4.6 today. Which will be their Christmas update.

This update will include many new features like Fireworks, Enchanted Books for enchanting items and a new look on Chests!

Now all Firetop Servers are still on 1.4.5 and the 1.4.6 update is not backward compatible! So if you update to 1.4.6 you will be unable to join our servers!

This means when you see the little "Update Now?" notification you click on "NO!" Haha.

If you have updated by accident already and would like to downgrade back to 1.4.5 to be able to join our servers again.
Please download this minecraft.jar file: (http://firetopgames.com/minecraft.jar) and add it to your %appdata% directory. If you do not know how to do that. Please look at this video I made.

If you would like t read more about changes in Minecraft 1.4.6 read the Wiki on it here: (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history#1.4.6)

Now for the news on the RPG Server

The RPG server is still under work but was pushed off with the news of the 1.4.5 RB and now the Minecraft 1.4.6 Update. Because the RPG server ran on very sensitive plugins it may push it back a few more weeks.

We hope to have it released as soon as possible, trust me. But with the new 1.4.5 RB and its API and even a new version of Minecraft it will take a while to update it.

What we may end up doing is released the RPG Open BETA on 1.4.5 BETA CraftBukkit to give you guys a feel on how it would work. But it will not be ready for everyone for another little while as we update it to 1.4.6.

Now for the news on the CraftBukkit 1.4.5 RB (Recommended Build)
The CraftBukkit Team Released the RB (Recommended Build) For Minecraft 1.4.5 yesterday.
Unfortunately this RB has API changes which means that almost all plugins we have do NOT work on this new version of CRaftBukit.

So Firetop Staff were planning to updating to a stable and perfectly running 1.4.5 RB but with the release of 1.4.6 the next day there is no point in re-doing all the work on the Main/Community Server.

I had started a project on my desktop as a private server for the new 1.4.5 RB which I believe you can see in the video above. I got all the plugins working perfectly. And then 1.4.6 came out.

So yes I know some of you that stay up to date on the CraftBukkit news were happy about this RB but we will not be using it. Unless it takes CraftBukkit 3 months to take out a BETA build of 1.4.6 we will stay with the current BETA 1.4.5 CraftBukkit.

You can find all the current versions of CraftBukkit here: (http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/craftbukkit/)

Really?!Making a poll about whether to release the RPG server before being ready or no isnt just right! :o
This RPG server is one of FireTop's great leaps...Dont ruin it! ;)
And by the way,I suggest having a CLOSED Beta.It would be just to test how the server would work with a few players on c:

they don't look like that either on 1.4.6 creative singleplayer!
I dont think these are normal chests.Maybe to be used as a present box or something?
It sure does look like a present box, though. They would make a great design under a christmas tree ;)
