Oh well I guess I'll type it out for you-_- lol jk

#1- Open your command line. You can do that buy going to your start menu and typing cmd.
#2- After that type in the command line: ipconfig
#3- Find in that long list of stuff- default gateway and I think the IP4 (correct me if I'm wrong)
#3- Open your Internet browser, and in the address bar, type your default gateway address. It will always start with this-192.168.1.[last number here]
#4- A pop-up will appear asking you for a username and password. I know the linksys username is- admin and the password is- admin . If you don't know your password, just search "default router password for [your router here]"
#5- After you get into your router "page" look for a tab with a title of "Port Forwarding" or something about gaming.
#6- After you get there look for a line to open a port. It should say "Name" or "Application," which is what you identify the port as. It will also say "start" and "End" which you should type "25565" in both. Then it will say something about protocol, and just leave it on both. The ip address is your ip4 address that you saw with your default gateway, so just type that in there. After that enable it :) .

Hope I helped! Lol
Lol, it.... Didnt work D: I live in a place were things are very strange and routers are very stupid. I unfortunately just moved to mexico and bought a router there. D; tomorrow ill post some screen shots of the page. But anyways, thanks climax!

I live in a country almost the same as mexico ,With even dumber routers and more stranger xD
what u wanna do is get the recommended build (craftbukkit.jar) from www.wiki.bukkit.org
Then the site will guide you till the point which you can start the server, but no one can join.
what you will do is,stop the server by typing stop into the console, then open server.properties which should be in the directory the server runs from, you will find the properties of your server.
Change the online-mode=true to online-mode=false (if u want it cracked)
Then in the server-ip= space, you will write the ip of your computer,www.whatsmyip.com then put it in this space.

when you start up the server again,It might say cannot bind to port, that's because the port 25565 isnt forwarded, stop the server, try another port in the server.properties, then try again, hopefully it ,might work from the first try :D
Hope this helped,

It should work,if u need anything at all, feel free to PM me :D

Lol, thx. I really didnt do anything you told me here. What i did was go to my router and search in google: how to port forward minecraft with 2wire v1700H (My router and the model). Then i grabbed a link that sent me to a tutorial on how to do it. The webpage was portforward.com. O followed all the steps and then i put my IPv4 adress in server ip, and i gave my external ip to who wanted to join. You can find your external ip at whatismyip.com. Hope this helped anyone with a dought on how to make a server.

The thing is, i have 4 GB of ram, and it was really laggy. Anyone know how to take the lag away? Thanks for your help, and i hope i helped.

how do i get that or find out my upload speed?

This site is CRAP! I have a server and it always can host over 8 players at a time, but this CRAPY site says i can only host a maximum of 3 players xD
Haha, I know it is, but it's something. :c
It uses the general reference of how much of each resource a player would usually need.

That's right, but it cant measure it accurately as the player needs more resource of each as the distance increases from the host.
For example: you are at Canada And I am at Egypt, the server is hosted from Canada,You will get no lag while I will get A CRAPY connection and an MS of 18,000 xD

What would be a good number of mb and how can i get it to run a good server that can support a max of 15-20? Thanks for your help!

2 M.B of upload will do just fine. :D
Make sure to use about 2 G.B of ram as well to insure top performance. :D

It is something that is related to your internet subscription,Call the internet-providing company to promote your internet subscription to a better one.
P.S: It will cost much more money :(
