Minecraft 1.3 Updates and info - Maintenance Notes 1.0.6

Hey everyone!

Just a few things to talk about! Lets start with the Maintenance Notes.

Updates​

- Squash you like a Bug. We have *updated* EasyBan on the server to more properly secure banning. Hopefully less bugs with it.​

- Lock and load. We have fixed up LWC to work properly now, You can now lock things like Fences and such with LWC.​

- Backups forever? Fixed the issues with Minebackup taking too much room on the server. This normally happened every so often and would make the site and server crash.​

- XP for the win? We have now added PearlXP which allows all players to store XP into a Ender Pearl by clicking with the pearl in hand, which then stores it like a chest.​

- Cheap for the win! Added Dynamic-iConomy Plugin, allowing you to get real prices for items so you can buy at a better price.​

- Pssst Wanna talk? We have now added the SimpleChannelChat plugin, which allows you to make channels with your friends that you invite only. When you are in this channel, you can not see any other conversations. Channels can be public or locked.​

Known Issues

- None at the moment. Please report!​

Miscellaneous

- Lock & Key. The server is transitioning from Lockette to LWC, so get your chests and doors transferred over. A guide on how to use LWC! We are leaving Lockette on the server, though, to let them work side by side for a while.​

Now as for the news for 1.3.​

We will soon be updating to 1.3 in the next 2 weeks. This means we will need to refresh the maps, or we can take the time to convert them. This is up to you. So please vote! We need to know your feedback on this as soon as possible!​

All plugins and tools should still work on 1.3 when the update hits.​

I think a new map would be good. With all the new players on the server; having a new map will make everyone get used to it at an equal speed. I don't know if that makes since...

 

Also, is this going to apply to the the hc server also?

 

Have you thought of making a new server with the large biomes map? And also if you do make a new world can you try to make the seed a mountain seed? I definitely like it, and I think other people like it to lol

 

What do you mean by "Large Biomes map" Im not sure what you mean by that?

Also it can be HC too. But theres no need for the hardcore to be deleted too. Ill make an other poll for that too.

Bug with the Ender Pearl xp storing thing:

I got lvl 6 XP in my Ender pearl/Ender eye
I got lvl 2 xp on my character

I wanna fil the 6 XP by my 2 XP and what do i get? just 6 XP instead of 8 so i click the left buttun again and it stores 6 XP and on my character is 2 XP

Is this normal? Ore is it a bug?

If i understand you correctly, you're trying to add your level 2 onto your level 6 ender pearl?.

Most likely whats happening is that you've misunderstood how the XP levels in minecraft work. Each level isn't the same about of xp, as the amount of xp to reach the next level gradually goes up. Here's a breakdown:

Level    XP required
0          0
1          7
2          17
3          31
4          48
5          69
6          93
7          121
8          152
9          187
10        225
 
Basically, lvl2 + lvl6 DOESN'T equal lvl8.

The new "Book-and-Quill" is COOL!

 

Hey Joel, if we star a new world, is it cool if we DONT do large biomes? the large ones will make it quite difficult for us to get items from specific biomes, as they take a long time to traverse, and also, if we can have a "build limit" near portals? kinda sick of walking into grassworld, skyworld and survival world with things right in front of me :/. Altho, i do agree with the new world, we need a new one with all the messed up creations right in front of the spawns...

Can you do not thad it stores in the orb thad u have like lvl 2 (17 xp) thad it stoers 17 xp into your orb

If what you are saying is that you wanna delete everything on the world and start a new one,wouldn't this mean that the spawn and everything will be gone,and if that is what's gonna happen,will this cause the server to be down to you rebuild a new spawn?

Also,can the old members help in the creation of the spawn?

The spawn and everything will be deleted. And everything. The whole world will start from scratch.

No the server wont be shut down. This is why we have a private server to test things on my friend...

So you are saying that you and other admins will build the new world at another server and then you will replace the new world with this one (correct me if i am wrong).

I think what you meant to say if that, the other admins and I will build a new map on the private server. Once it is done we will delete the current would and replace it with the new one from the private server. If thats what you meant. The answer is yes. So the public server will stay on. Until we are done the build of the new world. Once it is done. We will have a 2 minute downtime while we upload the new world.

That is, If we get enough votes to delete the old world. I personally think Minecraft gets boreing when you dont refresh. Cause once you have a house and a few chest fulls. Your set. So its sometimes good to refresh. but in the end its up to the players votes
