JDog2pt0 said:So, this is a write up on how to use Mineshafter! Don't know what Mineshafter is? Mineshafter provides a free alternative to the main Minecraft web services. What this means is you have one account, and can have a skin. However, only other Mineshafter users can see the skin.
Alright, well the first step is to visit http://mineshafter.appspot.com/
Now, up in the top right you should see "Login"

Logging in requires a Google account. So if you have G+, Youtube, GMail, etc then you're set.
Now, after loggin in, where it said "Login" it will now say your Google username. Hover your mouse over it and click "Settings"

This will take you to your settings page where you must connect a Minecraft.net account. So, go to http://www.minecraft.net/ and click register on the top right corner. Once done, enter your Minecraft information where it says "Connect your Minecraft account."
Okay! Now that that's done you page should look similar-ish to mine. (Aside from the skin).

Now, to upload a skin you must make one, then upload it to an image hosting site. Such as imageshack, photobucket, postimage, tinypic, and so on. Now take the link, put it where it says "Skin URL" and click "Set"
If done correctly you should see your skin.
You can also do a cloak the same way.
Now to Download the client.
Firstly, click "Downloads" to take you to the downloads page.
Then click "Mineshafter proxy for players" (this will start the download)

You can save the file anywhere. Now go to the file and Double-Click it. It should run just like a program. If for whatever reason it doesn't, post here and I'll help you.
This is what you should see

Simply enter your login info (Minecraft.net) and you're good to go.
