Hello! This is the official thread for my story, of which is titled "End of Days" as you can see.

CHAPTER 1: PROLOGUE

I was in my room watching TV just like any other day. I sat on my bed, right across from my TV and I could see it well. My phone was next to me as well, as one of my friends likes to call me a lot for some reason. Well actually, for the last three days he hasn't called. He will probably call again today however.. It was a nice 3 days. My friend, Billy, can get a little annoying sometimes. We're both 18 but he acts like he's 12 or something. So it's nice whenever he actually DOESN'T call. My phone was on vibrate, I mean it's right next to me I don't need to hear it ring. Billy is pretty cool in some ways though. His dad is a helicopter pilot, and he taught Billy how to fly. They have their own chopper and Billy and I fly it sometimes. It is very fun, honestly, I love helicopter rides. Billy doesn't want to teach me though.. he thinks he doesn't know enough yet. It's a little weird considering his father has been teacng him since he was 15. The only way I can get around is by a bike.. I don't even have a car yet. For some weird reason my parents don't want to buy me one and they say I should just get a job and buy it myself.. I always tell them, it isn't that easy! Cars are expensive and no places need any help. I still search but to no avail.

And before I knew it, my phone started vibrating all of a sudden. Sure enough, it was Billy. I picked up the phone.

"Hey man! It's me, Billy! You remember me right!? Oh my god it's been forever!" Billy said into the phone with his loud, obnoxious voice.

"..It's only been three days." I replied to him, trying to show it hasn't been that long..

"Yeah but we like HAVE to talk like EACH DAY, man! Brothers for life!"

"If that's the case then where the hell have you been?"

"Duuuuude, don't swear! I've been.. doing some, family things, yeah.." Billy answered my question. In a quite nervous voice I'll say. And when did I swear..

"..Okay. So, what's up then?"

"Turn on the news broski! There's some sorta.. I don't even know!" he replied suddenly sounding shocked.

"Alright. I'll call you back or something." I hung up the phone. I picked up the remote for the TV and put the news on. Wish I didn't need to do so, I was watching my favorite show. I then soon realized it's probably for the best I did change the channel.
"Breaking news! Over the past few days, a suspicious amount of barrels containing a gas of some sort has been spotted around the city. Reports show that people breathing it have gotten very sick and are now in the hospital. At least 5,000 have been shown to have breathed in the gas. If you see any kind of green gas around the city avoid it at all costs. Now to our witness, Ivan." the news reporter lady said through the television. What is this all about..? Some sort of gas, putting people in the hospital? Must be one hell of a fart. The cameras changed to a man who appeared to be from Russia, who was probably the witness Ivan.
"What do you have to tell us, Ivan?" the lady said to him.

"Well I was coming to America for vacation with family, and I see this green stuff floating around! People breath it and die!" Ivan replied to the reporter.

"Uhh, Ivan sir, did you say as soon as they breath it they DIE?"

"Yes! That is truth!"

"Instantly?"

"Yes!"

"Thank you for your time Ivan, I think we're done here." the reporter quickly finished up. I have a feeling she didn't want to hear this nonsense anymore. I didn't either honestly. I looked out my window, and seen something quite surprising actually.. Green smoke... Or, the green gas that the reporter has been talking about! I haven't seen any of this before. The smoke polluted the entire area of People Park. People Park was a park just down the street from my house. It was across the street from Kitaki Mansion. This mansion was apparently supposed to have a gang in it or something but I don't really know. I can't just go up to them and ask, "Hey, are you guys gangsters?" or something. It is a really big mansion. You'd need to have quite a lot of money to buy something like that. You know, maybe the police should check that place out...(**)

My phone suddenly started vibrating again. I thought it must have been Billy so I answered without looking at the number. "Hello?" I said into the phone. I did not expect this kind of answer however..

"People Park....... 5: 30..... come..." *click*

The caller hung up. The voice was like no other. Low.. raspy.. and in a way sounded like a little girl. Needless to say, I was freaked out a little. I looked at the number of who called, it only said "Unknown Number".. There was no way to figure out the actual number for some reason. I glanced at my clock, it said 5:28. Two more minutes until 5: 30. Should I go...? I was a little scared. This could have all been just a prank call. From whom, I have no idea. I continued to sit in my bed and I thought if I should or not. I looked out my window, and towards People Park. The entire area was polluted with green gas, except for People Park itself and one of it's entrances.. "What the hell..." I muttered. I eventually decided to go. I opened my door and went downstairs. "Oh hi John, where you going?" my mother suddenly said to me. She was in the living room, watching TV. Thankfully, she had no idea of the gas. "Oh, I'm just gonna go ride my bike for a bit." I said.
I didn't want to full out say "Oh, I got a call saying for me to go to the park at 5: 30, it'll be safe because there's an entrance to get in without having to go through the gas that has been putting people in the hospital!" or something. "Okay! Have fun." she said to me.

I got on my bike and rode toward the park. It was very weird.. I could go straight through the gas. Like the caller made me a safe way to get to the park. If I were to stick my hand out to my left or right however it'd be in the gas. As if I were in some kind of safe walkway.. I kept on going. As I entered, I got off my bike and walked towards the center of the park where a fountain was. I sat down and waited. For something to happen. I don't know what but something. I looked at my watch, it was now 5: 30. What now..? Nothing was happening, as far as I knew. I decided to get up and go back home. But as I got up, I noticed something on my shoe.. a note.

"you will not survive" What..? I won't survive what..? As I thought about it a certain sound blocked my train of though all of a sudden.. "AUUUUUUUUUAAAAGHHH!!"

Also, off topic, but I can add the next chapters to the main post if you want. Unless you prefer to have them separate posts. :)

CHAPTER 2: NEW BEGINNINGS

I suddenly heard a scream! I quickly spun around and tried to see what happened but I couldn't see anything. I was surrounded by the gas! I started coughing and wheezing but I ran through. I ran faster than before, I tried to not breath in any of the gas. I picked up my bike and jumped on it and tried to get out of there.. I went as fast as the bike would let me and I went toward the house. I started hearing other noises too..

Blam! chik-chik Blam! chik-chik

I looked to my left, and I seen a police officer with a shotgun, he was firing off bullets at... people? It looked like he was shooting normal people! He started running toward me." "H-hey! Get away!" I yelled to him, I didn't want to get shot, obviously! "Get off! I'll explain!" the officer said, as he pushed me right off the bike. I fell to the ground. I didn't care about the pain, I jumped on the back of the bike as the officer started pedaling somewhere. "What the hell is going on!?" I asked him, hoping he knew something. "Those thing I was shooting.. they weren't people.. Those were victims of the gas! They were going to eat me. And they will try to eat you too. That is what they do. They want blood. You will have to defend yourself. Here, take this." the officer said as he continued to use the handlebars, with one hand, and the other to take something out from his belt. He took it out and handed it to me.. it was a pistol. Upon examination it was a low-caliber pistol called the Walther P22. It wasn't too heavy of a gun, but that is a good thing. I took out the magazine from the gun and checked the bullets. "That right there has got 10 .22 bullets. Might need to strike them a couple times before they hit the floor, however. Remember, aim for the head!" the officer noticed me checking out the pistol.

I started thinking.. I am on a bike with a police officer, I am holding a gun, which I will most likely be shooting. This is a change of events.. the cop noticed my concern. "Yeah... Kid, this is the zombie apocalypse. I will be your guide for now. My name is Nick. We're currently going to the safe zone outside the city. Almost there." he said to me. Nick then handed me another magazine for the P22. "Now, hopefully you won't need to use all these, but, take this just in case." he told me. I took it and put it in my pocket. I don't even know how to reload. I can take the magazine out though. You just press a little button on the side and the magazine releases. That's really all I know. Nick then handed me another accessory- what looks like a silencer. It was pretty big, but slim. "Put that on there. Just attach it to the end of the barrel, and twist it until it's on." he told me how to put it on. I did just that. Pretty easy, actually. Now I should have no problems considering noise. Unless if I lose it, which won't be good.. I put the pistol in my other pocket and looked up away from it, and noticed that we were around the end of the town as I heard helicopters and seen some military soldiers.

"HEY! What the hell is that?" a soldier yelled at Nick suddenly. "My car broke down as I was getting in and I got cornered by some infected. I seen this kid on a bike and I got him out the town. I don't know about any other survivors. But that's why I'm on a bike." Nick explained. We got off and the soldier took me to a helicopter and Nick did his own thing I guess. Finally, I got away from him. He did help me a lot, but, he smelled pretty bad honestly. You'd think police officers would have to shower or something. I guess it was because of the.. "infected" as he called it. I guess that makes sense. "Get in there." We got to a helicopter and I got in. The soldier closed the door. I looked out the window just to see where the hell I am. It seemed pretty deserted out here. Just helicopters, and jeeps, and police cars. It seems they had to set up a small base here to get out as many survivors as they can. I guess the evacuation was a sudden thing, I haven't heard anything about this. I started to worry all of a sudden... Where's Billy? Will we meet up at wherever these helicopters will take us once they takeoff? What about my family? Oh no.. I started to think if I should have stayed home or not. If I stayed home we could build some barriers on the windows and doors, and we could survive. But maybe this is for the best.. Ugh. I thought I should just take a nap for now. I put my head down and closed my eyes, and went to sleep.

CHAPTER 3: A NEW LIFE

...

...

...

"huh..?"

I slowly opened my eyes. When I came to, the helicopter seemed to be almost at our destination, as it was going slower than before. It was dark out, and everyone seemed to be pretty tired. I noticed there was a lot of kids on the helicopter.. just like any plane ride, or anything.. "Mooommyy, I'm tiiirreedd!!" I heard one of the kids behind me. "Mommy's tired too.. and so is everyone else on this damn helicopter! Shut up before you wake anyone!" the mom replied. Wow. All I could say is, she is one of the rudest people I ever seen. She's being taken to safety with her kid and she doesn't seem grateful at all. Hate people like that. I decided to check my watch to see what time it is. 1: 34am. Wow, it's late, I thought to myself. It was around 5: 30 when we left, so the ride must have taken like 8 hours. Can't believe I slept through all that, I can never take a nap at home, let alone while in a moving vehicle. "This is your pilot speaking, we are coming in for a landing." I suddenly heard the speakers go off. There was some speakers around the helicopter, mostly on the ceiling. "Yay! We're finally landing!" I heard an older kid say behind me. "About time. Took forever." I heard another voice, similar to the other one. I guess they were brothers.

The helicopters blades started spinning much slower.. slower.. slower.. until they came to a stop and we were landed. I took a look at the surroundings through the window. It seemed deserted.. literally. We seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, with sand everywhere, and no trees or buildings. Well there was one building though. It looked really freakin' big. I guess we'll be staying in there. I had hoped it was a nice building in the inside, as I thought we'd probably be living here for the rest of our lives. It was sad, really... just all of a sudden there's this disease going around and we needed to get an evac out of the town. I'm gonna miss the stuff I left at home. I checked my pockets for what I have with me. I had the Walther P22, a magazine for it, and.. that's it? I didn't bring my phone apparently.. Dammit! I needed that, I thought to myself. I could have called around to my friends, family, to see if they are okay. I guess I can't. They will probably have phones in the building though, I started to think. I hoped so. "Alright, let's get on out of here!" I heard a voice through the speakers. The doors opened and everyone rushed out. "Mooommyy, I can't waaaalllk! I'm too tiiirreedd!" I heard the kid from before. "Shut up! Let's go! Stop complaining, or I'm leaving you here!" I heard the rude mom reply. Then again that kid is complaining a tad too much for my liking.. I got up and walked out of the helicopter. It was a nice night, a little breeze, not too much. A full moon filled the skies, with no clouds. "Follow me everyone." A military soldier came and told us where to go. I ended up right behind him. We walked into the building through the glass doors. Glass doors.. Maybe that isn't the best idea, I thought to myself. Actually, what the hell were they thinking..

"This is your room, enjoy it, you'll be here a while." the soldier showed me to my room. It was right around the corner from the entrance. I started to wonder if that was a good place or not. I could escape easily if anything happened, but if anything happened, it'd probably be through the doors and the infected could be all around there. I looked around the room. It was pretty small. A bed in the corner with one pillow was the first thing I noticed. I was really tired.. on the other wall was a big shelf and a mirror on top of it. I checked the shelves. The first one had some pretty good things! I found a phone, and a laptop. What would I do with a laptop.. Whatever. I grabbed the phone and started dialing my dad's cell number. I put the phone up to my ear. Come on, pick up, I hoped.. Beeeep.... Beeeeep.... Beeeeep... Sorry, the number you are trying to call is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later.

Dammit.. he isn't picking up. I started to feel lightheaded all of a sudden. It was time to go to bed, I felt, I didn't even want to look at anything else. I fell on the bed, kicked my shoes off, and closed my eyes.

Hey guys, if I end up putting :3 instead of : 3 in times and stuff, please remind me, as it looks stupid. (What I mean is I can be trying to tell the time but a :3 smiley could be in the way. like this- 5:30. or, 5: 30, which looks better cuz it has numbers.)

CHAPTER 4: VISITORS

"Alright everyone, let's get up now. Up and early. It is currently 9: 30am, and there has been no attacks on anything overnight. Everybody slept nicely, except the one in room 108, his phone kept ringing, sorry about that. We called the wrong phone. Hopefully you'll be fine now. Have a nice day, and remember, we are here for your safety and any of your needs."

I opened my eyes and yawned. They installed speakers and cameras in the rooms apparently, can't say I noticed that last night. Guess they wanted us all up early. I was really tired at the time, but I thought I'd eventually just get used to it. I got up out of bed and checked the phone from the shelf. No missed calls or texts. Dammit. I decided to keep the phone outside on top of the shelf instead of in it. I yawned once again, and stretched. I started to think, it might end up being a little while until I get used to this. I looked around the room some more. In the corner I noticed a doorway. Wasn't a door, just somewhere you can walk right through. I thought maybe this connected to other rooms, for faster escape or something. Then I thought about that again, that would be kind of stupid.. the hell was I thinking, that'd be much easier for murders and stuff. I went through. To my surprise, it was actually a kitchen there! Very small however. A fridge, a couple shelves, and a microwave. I checked the shelves. Cups, forks, knives... but no food.. oookay then, I thought. Let's check the fridge, I hoped something should be in there. Well.. Nothing. God dammit. How about the microwave? I was getting hopeless. I really wanted there to be something in this kitchen.. I opened it up but no food in there either. I guess they didn't have enough food for everybody and I was one of the more luckier people that didn't get any food. Great..

"If you would like some breakfast, go outside the front doors! We are making eggs and bacon, and we have some orange juice. We heard you guys like bacon, at least over the internet, so we made a ton of bacon! Come on now!"

Oh, okay then, I thought. That brought my mood up a bit, I had thought I wouldn't be able to eat. I opened my door and went around the corner. As I went out of my room, my next-door neighbor also opened up. "Man, you have any food in your room?" he asked me. "No actually, none. Weird considering we have a kitchen but no god damn food." I replied back. "Same, no damn food. Gonna suck when they run out of food to make for us, or we're hungry but they aren't making any, or, or, if it's raining and they have to bring the food inside, or what if there's an attack whi--"
"Dude. Calm down, hopefully we will be okay. But they will have to take those things in mind.." I cut him off. From the sounds of it, he could've went on about what could happen for days.. Better get used to it, I thought. I opened the glass doors and went outside. What I was greeted to wasn't what I expected at all however..

"HEY YOU! GET ON GROUND! NOW! DON'T MAKE ME PULL TRIGGER!!" A man with a gun was out there, he had everyone on the ground, he was about to.. shoot us!? I got on my knees with everyone else. The man slowly walked through everyone, carefully examining each person. Oh god, I thought, I might die. While it smells like eggs and bacon. I don't want to die like this! I took a look at the man and noticed something. He looks familiar.. Russian.. I then noticed it was that man Ivan from the news! "I was only on vacation with family.. and then my family gone! I want to find man who started this! I will avenge family!" he started saying. His family must have been killed.. I felt bad for him, but at the same time I still kept my guard up. Ivan was a little far away from me, I thought it was okay to just put my hand in my pocket, he won't notice. I still had my Walther P22. I slowly pulled it out, keeping the gun low. I had to do something, seeing how no one else were going to. There were cops and military soldiers, all with weapons, but down on the ground. They were scared to do anything. Ivan did have some big weapons however. Holding an AK-47, a utility belt with grenades and a knife, a holster for a pistol.. where'd he get all this stuff!? He started to get closer. It's now or never, I thought.

"FREEZE!" I got up and stood straight, gun out and pointed toward Ivan. "HEY GET BACK ON GROUND! I SHOOT YOU, AND YOU DIE!" Ivan yelled at me and aimed his gun at me. Everyone gasped. I was suddenly very nervous, I was sweating bullets. "Why are you doing this..?" I asked him. "Family.. they were eaten by these things! Monsters! I don't know, but I seen my wife and child die and I will find who did this! Did you make the monsters?" Ivan replied. "N-no! I also want to find who did this. J-just calm down, and we'l--"
BLAM! BATATATATATTATA

He opened fire! Ivan shot some of the people on the ground, and started running toward me! I pulled up my pistol, and remembered the cop's words... "...and remember, aim for the head!" This isn't exactly an infected victim, but I think it'll work fine. Bam! I fired.. at his head. He stopped dead in his tracks, literally. Ivan fell down, but everyone got up. I put the gun back in my pocket, and ran back inside. I went to my room, closed the door and got on the bed. What just happened...? I just shot a man.. but was it my fault..? Was that a bad idea to fully kill him.. I could have shot him in the leg, that would have just stopped him. That's all I needed. But I killed him.. I felt guilt. I shouldn't have done that, should I. I knew I was correct with my thoughts when suddenly I heard..
knock knock knock "OPEN THE DOOR! THIS IS THE MILITARY, AND WE WILL OPEN WITH FORCE IF NEEDED!"

I knew it...
