I've been saving up for a gaming computer(I don't have nearly enough though) but I only just realized now- I have no idea what kind of computer I need ._. So I thought maybe you guys can help me out here :o

So I want one of those tower computers, which I believe is pretty much every pc thats not a laptop(like mine). I want it to be able to connect to my TV and come with a keyboard, but I'm pretty sure they all come like that, lul. I want all of the new games like BF3, Skyrim, Star Wars The Old Republic and others to run on it fine with at least medium settings. It's not a computer that I want to get Super Epic Mega Ultra InsertAnotherBigWordHere graphics, just to be able to get better FPS on new-gen games. Remember, at least medium graphics. So that shouldn't be TOO much money right? I know that those really really good pc's are like 1500 - 2000 dollars, but to get a decent pc it should be what, around 1000? Hopefully lower than that though..

I don't really know what else as I am not too good(read: EFFING NOOB) with gaming computers, so just ask and I'll try my best to answer if theres anything you need to know.

Here's a list of games I was hoping I could run=
COD4
Battlefield 3(and get a whole 1 kill each match!)
Star Wars
MMMmmaybe Skyrim, not too sure about it
TF2(and set some of the admins on fire with the Pyro class :D)
And I think that's it, unless if you guys have recommendations for me :p

So tell me what kind of computer do I need? Tell me more than one that you think I would like please. Also list the price, that would be great.

If you guys help me out here, I'll buy everyone cupcakes.

not sure i'f you're looking to buy completely finished systems, or want to build your own, or what.

i build my own systems, mainly sourcing all my parts from NCIX.com. they do also have pre-built systems that they sell for a decent price.

This System looks pretty decent, and is in your price range.... basic specs are:
AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition Processor - 3.0Ghz
Dual MSI GeForce GTX 550 1GB Cyclone OC Graphics
Windows 7 Home Premium
4GB DDR3 Memory (RAM)
10 USB Ports (2 on front)
1TB 7200RPM 32MB Hard Drive
22x DVD/CD Writer
520W 80 Plus Power Supply
7.1 high definition audio
Onboard Gigabit Ethernet

Consider installing a new geraphics card on your PC. I put in a nvidea G-series 6000 in mine and it works a lot better than the standard 64 bit card.

64-bit card? i think you might be mixing up some techno-words:P maybe you mean integrated video card.

64-bit cards are the PCI card slot sizes, only in older servers

If you want a gaming computer, I suggest just getting a good grapchics card and more RAM in your own computer.

If you want to buy a gaming computer, its better to build your own

Here is My specs. It's no monster but I works great for me

Dell Optiplex GX520
Intel Core 2 Duo
2.5 GB ddr3 ram
2 500gb hard drives
Dual Boot: Windows 7 Home and Windows XP Pro
460W Power
ATI Radon HD 5450 512MB
and just a normal internet CAT5 to my server switch
